Raul G. Valdes-Fauli, president and CEO of CNLBank’s Miami-Dade County region and with its South Florida headquarters in Boca Raton, has announced the appointment of Terrell West to vice president, portfolio manager.  West brings more than 19 years of experience in the South Florida banking industry to CNLBank. He previously served as vice president, senior real estate analyst for Colonial Bank. Among West’s career highlights is the successful development and management for four years of a Small Business Loan Fund in Miami-Dade County.

ACTS Retirement-Life Communities, parent company of St. Andrews and Edgewater Pointe Estates, has signed a purchase agreement on a 48-acre land parcel located in Matthews, North Carolina. ACTS plans to add approximately 350 independent living apartments and single family homes with additional numbers of assisted living and skilled care suites. The expansion is designed to complement an existing ACTS community adjacent to the property, Plantation Estates, which is home to approximately 560 retirees.  

REG Architects, Inc. has received the 2008 Florida Preservation Award for Outstanding Achievement from the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation in recognition of their architectural restoration work on the 1916 Old Palm Beach County Courthouse in West Palm Beach.

Sachs & Sax has added three new associates, Nicole Caruso Seropian, Marco D. Commisso and Stephanie Barr Partlow in the firm’s Boca Raton office.  Seropian practices in the area of Marital and Family Law.  She received her B.A. degree from the University of Florida in 1984 and her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center in 1988. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1989.Commisso practices in the areas of community association and country club law and commercial litigation.  He received his B.S. degree in Journalism from the University of Florida in 1995 and his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, in 2003.  He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2005.    Partlow practices in the area of community association law and foreclosures.  She received her B.S degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Florida State University in 2002; and her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center in 2006.  She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2006. 

Lisa Jensen has been named vice president/market manager for the First Southern Bank’s West Boca, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach areas, according to Frank G. Burnside, President and CEO of First Southern Bank. Jensen is responsible for business development and expansion of customer relationships in these three important markets.

Jensen joined First Southern from City National Bank where she served as a vice president of business development.  During her 23 year career, Jensen held posts at JP Morgan Private Bank, Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management and Harris Private Bank (Bank of Montreal) among others.
