Hasner takes strong stand

The so-called “guns at work” law became effective July 1.
Hmmm….not quite, says House Majority Leader and District 87 State Representative Adam Hasner (R-Delray Beach).
He says: “This isn’t a “guns at work” law as some would want you to believe. This is a “if you are a law abiding citizen that has met all the legal requirements and has a concealed weapon permit, you can keep your gun securely locked in your car in the parking lot” law.”
Which is a long-winded way of saying that Hasner supports what is, effectively, the “guns at work” law – signed by Governor Charlie Crist in April.
Hasner in turn told the Boca Raton News that discussion, news accounts and commentary about the new law have been “misleading.”
