Marie E. Cook, 94, of Boca Raton passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at the Boca Raton Community Hospital. Babione Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

David Elais Raffe, formerly of Atlantic Beach, NY and Boca Raton, Fl, died Thursday in the VNA Hospice Unit at Community Medical Center. He is the husband of Miriam Davidson Raffe. His first wife, Sylvia Weltman Raffe passed away in 1956. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of Benjamin and Esther Furbish Raffe. He served in the US Army Engineering Corps during WWII, where he was stationed in the Aleutian Islands. David was a dedicated member of the Kiwanis Club and prior to retirement was the owner / operator of A.R. Fuels of Brooklyn, NY and later a Hallmark store. He was known for his style of dress and meticulous appearance. He is survived by a son Michael, and wife Lauren Signer, Ithaca, NY; a daughter, Barbara Mall, and husband Samuel, Dingmans Ferry, PA; three grandsons, Jack, Lucas, and Aidan; a sister-in-law, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hyman and Leo Raffe. The burial was held Friday at Beth Moses Cemetery, Long Island, NY. Arrangements by the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home, Inc, 1240 St. Ann St., Scranton, PA 18504.
